What is ADAS?

ADAS is short for: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are a family of safety systems that designed to work together to automate and help enhance vehicle safety by alerting the driver to potential problems and avoid collisions.

By using radars and camera-based sensors help the driver and vehicle have greater awareness of the driving environment. Cameras are positioned outside the vehicle on the front, back and sides to capture images of the road, street signs, pedestrians, vehicles, and other obstacles.

For the system to work correctly, the camera or radar must be installed and calibrated using sophisticated equipment.
